Being involved in the National Funeral Directors Association has never been more important. With the many challenges the funeral service profession faces – evolving consumer preferences, potential federal regulatory changes by the FTC and EPA, issues finding qualified staff, and so many more – we are at a crucial point as a profession.
If you want to help shape the strategic direction of the NFDA so it can fulfill its mission of being the worldwide source of expertise and professional resources for all facets of funeral service, please consider running for a seat on the association’s Board of Directors.
NFDA is accepting applications from potential candidates to serve on the Board of Directors for the 2023-24 leadership year, which begins at the conclusion of the 2023 NFDA International Convention & Expo. Serving on the NFDA Board of Directors is a unique opportunity for you to give back to your national association and the funeral service profession.
The most successful Boards of Directors comprise a complementing mix of diverse individuals representing a variety of work, life, social and educational backgrounds. Such diversity brings together varied viewpoints in order make well-rounded decisions that reflect NFDA’s entire membership and the funeral service profession as a whole. We invite you to look over the core components, skills and traits that make up a successful NFDA Board member.
