NFDA Will Host Conventions in Baltimore, Las Vegas and New Orleans
For Immediate Release: March 15, 2021
Brookfield, Wis. – The National Funeral Directors Association (NFDA) Board of Directors and staff are working hard to plan for the in-person 2021 NFDA International Convention & Expo, October 17-20 in Nashville, but are also looking ahead to future conventions in Baltimore, Las Vegas and New Orleans.
“We are thrilled to bring the NFDA Convention to Baltimore, Las Vegas and New Orleans during the coming years,” said NFDA CEO Christine Pepper. “Each of these cities has something unique to offer our attendees and will serve as perfect settings for learning, networking, professional growth and a lot of fun.”
Nashville – October 17-20, 2021
NFDA looks forward to hosting the funeral profession in-person in Nashville, October 17-20, for the 2021 NFDA International Convention & Expo.
“We’re planning an extraordinary event, packed with everything you love about the NFDA Convention: the education, the Expo Hall, and plenty of opportunities for socializing and networking with your colleagues from around the country,” said Pepper. “Of course, your health is our top priority and we will take every step necessary to keep all event participants safe.”
Registration and housing for the 2021 convention is scheduled to open in July, unless things change with the pandemic. More information will be available at www.nfda.org/convention.
Baltimore – October 9-12, 2022
NFDA was last in Baltimore in 2000 and is thrilled to return to Charm City. Baltimore is writing a new chapter in its history, and has become a vibrant community that honors the past while keeping a keen eye on the future.
While in Baltimore, convention attendees can see the largest public collection of Matisse in the world (for free!), sip a craft beer in the sanctuary of a converted church and stay in a four-star hotel poised atop an historic recreation pier. But the Baltimore experience is about much more, and NFDA will be planning exciting experiences to give funeral professionals a taste of what makes this city tick.
Las Vegas – September 10-13, 2023
NFDA was last in Las Vegas in 2007 and members have been eager for the association to return to “the city that never sleeps.” NFDA will take advantage of a newly-opened expansion of the Las Vegas Convention Center for its 2023 convention. The 2023 NFDA Convention will be held in September not October, when it is typically held, because these were the best possible dates based on the availability of the Las Vegas Convention Center.
Las Vegas is an ideal getaway, no matter what your tastes. While many choose to test their luck in the city’s many casinos, there is so much more to experience. Whether it’s enjoying luxurious spa treatments, high-end shopping, gourmet restaurants or outdoor activities, there is something for everyone.
New Orleans – October 20-23, 2024
NFDA was supposed to host its convention in New Orleans in 2020, but the pandemic forced the association to reschedule its event to 2024.
New Orleans is a magical and uniquely American city, with a long and rich history. The city’s compact geographic footprint makes it easy to navigate and its warm, friendly residents welcome millions of visitors every year and help them “pass a good time” while enjoying the city’s legendary music scene, diverse dining options, unique boutiques and historical sites.
NFDA is the world’s leading and largest funeral service association, serving more than 20,000 individual members who represent nearly 11,000 funeral homes in the United States and 49 countries around the world. NFDA is the trusted leader, beacon for ethics and the strongest advocate for the profession. NFDA is the association of choice because it offers funeral professionals comprehensive educational resources, tools to manage successful businesses, guidance to become pillars in their communities and the expertise to foster future generations of funeral professionals. NFDA is headquartered in Brookfield, Wis., and has an office in Washington, D.C. For more information, visit www.nfda.org.
